'Rockpool Revelations' a photographic exhibition of rocky shore life by Judith Oakley at the National Park Offices, Tenby. Rockpool revelations is intended as a photographic 'seashore safari' documenting the intriguing tiny, colourful animals you can find if you look carefully and in the right places on a rocky shore in South West Wales. It should inspire you to venture from the comfort of your deckchair or from behind your computer screen to explore the richness of life between the tides in the intertidal area. Rockpool revelations illustrates the richness of the rocky shore and the important habitat rockpools provide to the unique creatures living in and around them. Brought up in Port Talbot, rockpools have fascinated marine biologist Judith Oakley since childhood. The exhibition is the culmination of four years of rockpool rambles, discovering often over-looked plant and animal life and documenting these finds as photographs. This free exhibition aims to tell the story of life on a rocky shore from the Splash Zone lichens at the very top, through the upper, middle and lower shores, culminating in a kelp forest at the seaward end. All of the images in Rockpool Revelations were taken at low tide, in the intertidal habitats of South-west Wales. Open daily, 9.30am - 5pm. Contact on Tel: 01834 845040.
