"Seafood Forage and Risotto Cook-Up!" from 10.30. One of our favourite pastimes here at Llys Meddyg is to grab a bucket and go forage for food on the shores of the Nevern estuary. Join Ed for an educational 'Fish Week Forage' where we will go and see what seafood we can find in and around Newport and cook up a risotto afterwards! Weather permitting we will either cook on the shoreline, or retreat to Llys Meddyg and cook there. This is a perfect family event! Bring your wellies and some buckets and spades for digging. "Seashore Picnic and Forage" with Café Mor. Join Café Mor for a truly unique seashore picnic and explore the wonderful world of seashore foraging on the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast. This fantastic day will take place at Freshwater West, one of the homes of the famous Welsh delicacy; laver bread. We will start the day with an inspirational seashore picnic where you will be able to taste Welsh classics such as laver bread with cockles and bacon, as well as other wonderful dishes from the Café Mor menu, with fresh local shellfish and a rich variety of edible seaweeds and sea plants such as dulse, sea lettuce, carragheen, sea beet and rock samphire.
